About The Role
We are looking for a Product Designer to shape the future of SUPPLY, our new inventory management platform. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our newest, 0-1, standalone product from the very early stages. Product designers identify opportunities, shape the vision of our product, and ensure we deliver highly crafted products our customers love.
One of InnoVint’s core strengths is our constant focus on usability, and you will be a key player in this focus. Usability in a complex application can look very different than in other apps, and you will often wrestle when trying to simplify interfaces that just seem impossible to trim down — you should be someone who is excited by this often daunting challenge.
You will report to the Head of Product and work closely with the CTO, Product Design Lead, the Product & Engineering Teams, our users, and our internal/external winemakers. You’ll be on a remote team that works west coast hours.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead design and user experience for our new inventory management product
- Build robust partnerships with engineers, product managers and other cross functional team members to build, audit, and launch design into production environments, and to ensure accurate implementation of intuitive experiences
- Partner with engineers and product managers to define the overall product strategy
- Create end-to-end innovative design solutions through mock-ups, flow charts, prototypes and detailed specs to drive the product vision.
- Partner with the Product Design Lead to contribute to our upcoming overall platform redesign
- Be comfortable with breaking down ambiguous technical problems, ruthlessly prioritizing the highest impact work, and aligning a cross-functional team around it
- Establish and maintain common components and documentation in the design system and maintain patterns and libraries to ensure design coherence across all projects, products and platforms.
- Be opinionated and leverage a direct line to our customers to get insights. Explore solutions, create prototypes, and dive into user feedback/data to identify points of friction and opportunities for improvement for every initiative
- Sweat the details, strive for simplicity, and tie together interconnected projects to make complex tasks approachable
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating successful projects from concept to execution
- A well-rounded design skill set, comfortable working across a broad range of activities from UX/UI to visual design
- End-to-end ownership of meaningful features or surfaces
- Shipped products that have simplified complex workflows
- Experience working in SaaS and/or startups. Added bonus for experience working on inventory management systems, e-commerce, and/or winemaking.
- Proven ability working with technical teams, distilling complex technical concepts into easy to understand briefs
- Strong communication skills and ruthless project management
