Established in 1998, Outpost Wines is an ultra-premium winery situated in Angwin, California. With a dedicated team led by Consulting Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, they specialize in crafting 100% varietal bottlings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Grenache. Furthermore, they also serve alternating proprietors and custom crush clients.

The Challenge

Streamlining Premium Producer Operations

Outpost Wines initially relied on a combination of Excel and paper-based management for daily operations, leading to inefficient and error-prone workflows.

Initial Pain Points:
  • “Work orders” were transcribed on printed and handwritten lists
  • Harvest-related tasks were communicated verbally and recorded on paper
  • Data from lab analysis and activity logs were manually entered into Excel, typically on a monthly basis
